Context

The HR Department at KILOUTOU, which specialises in equipment rental, wanted a solution which it could use to assess its employees’ skills and knowledge objectively. Towards this end, they developed a first tool based on a profession-specific multiple choice questionnaire for their technical populations. Building on this success, KILOUTOU then decided to deploy the tool across the sales population. As these are mainly customer-facing professions, they wanted to use a tool to determine, in addition to “profession-specific” technical knowledge, the know-how best suited to commercial professions.

PerformanSe Solutions

Five customised skills repositories were designed, for the customer relationship managers, account managers, sales representatives, branch managers and branch group directors at Kiloutou

LEAD-UP methodology by PerformanSe implemented in 3 steps:

  1. Collective workshop held, including the steering committee made up of HR, managers (branch manager, branch group director, regional sales director) and PerformanSe consultants to reflect on and define the skills expected for each position.
  2. Population assessed on the skills defined during the first workshop to produce an overall mapping of the population and check whether the expected skills are covered or not.
  3. Collective workshop held with the Steering Committee to refine and validate the final reference framework.

Our collaboration with PerformanSe was rewarding because our contacts were clearly the project leaders in organising the content and timeline, but also in the way they challenged us on the paradoxes that turned up in a number of businesses
